about us

SEACH understands the challenges you face as you navigate the homelessness response system and strive to make a meaningful impact in your mission. We firmly believe that clarity, understanding of processes, and collaborative partnerships are indispensable for achieving effective outcomes. We recognize and commend your dedication, knowing that at times, it can be frustrating and can make you feel unsupported.

We are committed to ensuring you receive consistent support in your efforts. We fully grasp the limitations imposed by scarce resources, which can impede your ability to assist individuals experiencing homelessness. That's why we pledge to provide guidance as you work towards evidence-based outcomes. Through our engagement, training, and ongoing support, our primary objective is to empower you in your vital work.

SEACH represents a genuine collaboration of non-profit organizations, faith-based groups, local businesses, and state agencies in the Wiregrass Area. Established in 2003 through sustainable collaboration, SEACH is deeply dedicated to supporting community goals of aiding the homeless and underserved in their journey out of poverty towards security and independence.

In our unwavering mission to end homelessness and reduce poverty in the Wiregrass Area, SEACH acknowledges the paramount importance of utilizing data as a powerful tool to drive effective interventions and inform policy decisions, crucial for securing HUD, other federal, and private funding.

Rather than allocating resources to duplicate services provided by partnering agencies, SEACH emphasizes the value of sharing ideas and knowledge to develop projects and find solutions—a collaborative "think tank" approach. Our meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at noon. The meetings are instrumental in achieving successful outcomes for clients and fostering strong partnerships among organizations.

While member organizations of SEACH maintain autonomy and adhere to their own missions and policies, they benefit from collective support. These meetings foster an environment of learning, networking, and comfortable communication among members, which in turn encourages effective referrals and ensures service duplication is avoided, thereby maximizing budget efficiency. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us for further details and assistance.
